Conectart with its more than two thousand call centre operators, is the largest contact centre service provider in the Czech Republic. Since the beginning of April, it has further strengthened its position via the acquisition of Atoda, a regional call centre running its branches mainly in southern Bohemia and employing approximately four hundred operators. As a new subsidiary of Conectart, Atoda became part of GPEF III fund of Genesis Capital, which had acquired Conectart in 2020.

Atoda has been operating in the Czech market since 2005 and currently employs almost 400 operators in five cities in South Bohemia and one in Central Bohemia. "We mainly focus on clients from the telecommunications and energy industries. Our most important clients are, for example, Vodafone and T-Mobile or brewery Budějovický Budvar. We perceive the acquisition by Conectart as an opportunity for further development," says Václav Kroneisl, the chief operating officer of Atoda and one of the original owners, who will continue in the company’s management after the transaction. Both parties of the transaction have decided not to communicate the value of the deal.

With the acquisition of Atoda, Conectart strengthens its position of the largest call centre service provider in the Czech market complying with the strategy of Genesis Private Equity Fund III (GPEF III) of Genesis Capital, with which the fund entered the industry in 2020 while acquiring Conectart. "At Genesis Capital we search for investment opportunities in sectors with high value added and scalability potential of services or products provided. We perceive the industry in which Conectart and Atoda operate as very interesting and attractive for further organic and acquisition growth. We have been creating a local market leader, that will become a strong platform for further growth not only in the Czech Republic, but also throughout Central and Eastern Europe," says Martin Viliš, partner at Genesis Capital Equity.

"We focus on investing in new technologies and want to compete with international players in the European market. That's why we have to offer our customers only the most up-to-date products and services," adds Petr Studnička, CEO of Conectart. "The new acquisition of Atoda fits perfectly with our expansion goals. In the future, both companies should cooperate and help each other in the growth and search for new opportunities in the local and foreign markets."
