Genesis Capital, a leading private equity group in Central Europe, announces the sale of its majority stake in Conectart, the major Czech provider of customer care and BPO services. The buyer is Croatian investor Mplus, one of the fastest-growing business process and technology outsourcing (BPTO) providers in Europe. The transaction represents the successful conclusion of a five-year partnership between Genesis and the management team led by CEO Petr Studnička, during which Conectart expanded into Poland and Slovakia.
Genesis Capital entered Conectart in 2020 through its fund Genesis Private Equity Fund III (GPEF III). Over the five-year investment period, the company implemented a strategy combining both organic growth and acquisitions. Through three strategic transactions in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Poland, Conectart significantly expanded its client base and strengthened its position among the regional leaders in customer care services - despite major challenges such as the COVID-19 pandemic, the energy crisis, and the war in Ukraine.
Conectart currently employs over 1,300 operators across 13 locations in Central Europe. In the last two years, the company has added several key clients to its portfolio, including Vodafone, Česká spořitelna, Pillow Pojišťovna, Astratex, and KFC. A major recent milestone was the implementation of voicebot technology, which has become an integral part of its customer service offering.
The buyer, Mplus, runs operational centres in more than 13 countries across Europe, the Middle East, and North America. With a workforce of more than 12,800 employees, Mplus is one of Europe’s leading providers of BPTO services. The acquisition of Conectart is part of its long-term strategy to strengthen its presence in Central and Eastern Europe. Mplus is a part of the BOSQAR INVEST group.
